Cobra has exchanged the 'old' King RadSpeed series for the new King LTDx series for the 2022 season. As a fast-innovating brand, Cobra has become a serious player in the golf market under the Puma banner. This is clearly evident in these Cobra King LTDx irons. A beautiful design, a sky-high level of finish and specifications that effortlessly place the brand among the biggest players on the market. These clubs can therefore be called very fine, accessible irons, suitable for a very wide target group. 

_{The technique}

The Power-COR design is central to these Cobra King LTDx irons. It is mainly responsible for the remarkably high ball speed, the fine forgiveness and the stable feeling of control that can be clearly registered as soon as you hit your first balls with these irons. You feel the power and also see it in the ball flight. LTD doesn't stand for Longest Total Distance for nothing...
The weight distribution of these irons is such that they have a very low centre of gravity, which gives them a slightly higher, more predictable ball flight. Not as high as with the Air-X, however, because that costs too much length. To keep all that violence a good feeling ball contact, cushioning polymer is injected and that feels very solid and powerful. PWRSHELL FACE Technology is used to forge an L-cup face out of a thin and strong stainless steel and provides more flexibility resulting in a higher ball speed and a higher launch over the entire face. The huge sweetspot provides even more accuracy. The extremely low centre of gravity ensures an easy ball flight.

A nice bonus is the free Arccos sensor, which you can order for free at Arccos after purchasing a Cobra King club or set (with QR code on the club). You can easily attach this sensor to the back of your golf club grip. Then you link your Cobra club(s) wirelessly with the Arccos App which you download for free on your smartphone. You can then use a free trial subscription for 45 days. If you like it, you can convert this into an annual subscription (€ 99.00).
The Arccos App generates data on your performance and progress to improve your handicap. It also contains maps of some 40,000 golf courses worldwide, so you will know your way around virtually everyone. Very convenient!

_{Steel or graphite shaft?}

The choice between steel and graphite shafted irons is not a question of better or worse but of preference. If you prefer light, top-heavy irons that absorb the annoying vibrations of mishits well, then irons with graphite shafts might be better for you. Lighter clubs will give you a bit more club speed so graphite shafts will give you a bit more yardage as well. Steel shafts give more (valuable) feedback on how you hit the ball. In addition, steel is slightly heavier but also less vulnerable to damage. Golfers with a higher swing speed often choose steel shafts because graphite can be too flexible in comparison. Well... make the choice that suits you.
