Multi-sport brand Mizuno is a huge Japanese manufacturer with several disciplines of which golf is one that is rolled out at the highest level. Since the 2022 season, two different fairway woods have been released of which the ST-X 220 is the most forgiving version, intended for golfers with (slightly) higher handicaps. The design is nice and clean, but under the skin a wide range of innovations have been developed in which stability and control play the main roles.

Drawing on years of experience in high quality steelwork, the Mizuno ST-X 220 womens fairway woods are a testament to professionalism. These woods have a Titanium construction with a flexible High Speed SAT2041 Beta Clubface. They also incorporate the CORtech innovation which makes the face thin and flexible to generate even more ball speed. The crown of these clubs is made of extra lightweight carbon to lower the centre of gravity even more, in order to effortlessly create enough ball height. The sole contains the developed Wave Technology that is responsible for higher ball speeds with low balls hit on the clubface and provides optimal contact with the ground so that there is plenty of club speed left to convert into ball speed. This ST-X 220 wood has a fixed loft, whereas the ST-Z 220 has an adjustable loft.

These ST-X fairway woods 2022 are standardly fitted with the UST Mamiya Helium NanoCore 4F1 Ladies Flex Graphite shaft and Mizuno M-01 / GolfPride Tour Velvet grip, but if you have other wishes concerning the shaft or grip, this is possible and you usually don't pay a surcharge.
