This Tour -1 version of the PXG Black Ops Driver 2024 is at least as talked-about as the 'normal' version. In golf club technology as well as in the level of materialisation, you can clearly see that PXG is on a very good level. The brand does everything it can to help players of all levels, but this Tour -1 driver has more weight at the front of the club head, which provides more power but especially more feel and controllability.

Of course, design is a matter of taste but these PXG Black Ops drivers just look really good. The beautiful materials and luxurious black finish leave nothing to be desired. Visibly, a lot of carbon is used both on the top (crown) and around the bottom of the clubhead (sole). This gives the brand the freedom to create the ideal balance and that improves performance. Clearly visible at PXG are the Precision Weighting Technology weights. These Tungsten Weights can be used to create the ideal balance in the club head which, with the right settings, can raise the MOI above the magical 10,000 limit, creating extreme forgiveness. Especially with this Tour -1 version, the weight distribution with more weight at the front of the head creates more aggression but also more controllability and feel. This does make it slightly less forgiving and therefore more suitable for better golfers.
These drivers also allow you to adjust the loft over a 3-degree range (+1.5 to -1.5 degree). This allows you to match the ball flight to your preference and playing characteristics. The 460cc clubhead features a new face/clubface that, thanks to the new Bulge and Roll Design, provides a huge sweetspot and better performance across the entire face. Finally, the Natural Frequency Optimisation technology in these drivers brings better fine-tuning of vibrations and resonances which optimises sound and feel, thereby improving driver performance. In short: if you are looking for an A-brand driver and may it look nice and pronounced, PXG is definitely a good consideration!
