The Approach G80 is equipped with multiple practices and game modes. It offers the ability to play virtual rounds on any of over 41,000 preloaded courses around the world with full-color CourseView cards, while the Warm-up mode provides simple feedback such as ball speed, clubhead speed, pace, smash factor and estimated distance. Pace training helps you evaluate which backswing and downswing timing is best for you, and provides instant feedback. You can measure yourself with friends on the driving range, play in a tournament with other users around the world or try to improve your personal record. To develop accuracy and shot consistency, goal exercises help you focus on your drives, short game or overall game.

On the runway, the built-in radar measures shot distances. For easy access during your game, press the radar button to open the shot detection. Besides, you can use Touch-Targeting on full-colour course maps. Tap a point on the sunlight-readable screen for accurate distance measurement to that point - fairway, obstacle, landing area, or beginning, middle, or end of the green. It also serves as a digital scorecard with options for Stroke Play, Stableford, Skins, and Match Play with adjustable handicaps. Periodic track map updates are automatically sent to your device.

plays like Distance gives you the distances to the goal, adjusted for shots up or downhill. This option can easily be turned off during tournaments. PinPointer shows you the location of the green for blind shots. Green View allows you to zoom in on the green and get more accurate distances to the current location of the pin. The Large Digits mode increases the font size, making it easier to read distances to the beginning, end and middle of the green.
