The Garmin Z82 laser range finder with GPS is one of the most accurate laser distance meters available. It also gives you a new perspective on more than 41,000 jobs worldwide. When you look through the viewfinder, you'll see the distance display, complemented by a full-colour 2D CourseView overlay for the hole you're currently playing, with distances to obstacles and the beginning and end of the green.
When you then activate the Slander Distance Meter, you'll get the exact distances to within 25cm (10 inches) of the goals you're aiming at. The Z82 automatically determines which hole you are currently playing and gives you the correct course layout and par information.
Image stabilisation makes it easier to find the flag in your visor and measure the distance. The smart flag finder automatically secures the flag of each hole. Once the flag is fixed, the viewfinder adds a detailed 2D view of the green layout, plus distances to the beginning and end of the green. The image in the viewfinder shows the hole 6 times enlarged for a clear, bright view, complemented by map overlays showing the layout of the hole.
The PlaysLike Distance feature adjusts distances for shots up and down based on the difference in elevation between where you are and the marked location on the map. This makes it much easier for you to decide which club to use for ups and downs shots. And when you play a tournament, you can enable or disable PlaysLike distance. There's even a PinPointer function that shows you the direction on the green for blind shots.
When you measure the distance to an object, the Laser Distance Arch feature draws an arc on the 2D track chart at the distance the laser measures, giving you a good overview of the situation at that distance.
