Cobra King SnakeBite Wedge (steel shaft)

How cool is it, the new Cobra King Snakebite wedge! The new Cobra King Snakebite wedge features an all-new groove design that is designed to maximise spin and fittingly produce more 'BITE' around the greens.

_{The technique}

Every year Cobra manages to develop new technology which takes the game of golf to an even higher level than before. This time Cobra has turned its attention to wedges and looked at how a wedge can create maximum spin. The new snakebite groove technology makes it possible to further tighten groove tolerances and maximise groove volume. The new design results in 11% deeper grooves, and 40% sharper groove edges to provide maximum spin to the ball.

_{Traditional vs Full-Face grooves}

The wedges with the lower lofts feature the traditional grooves. These grooves have been made narrower and deeper to optimise spin. On the higher loft wedges (56°, 58° and 60°), the grooves are wider and shallower across the face of the club, extending to the toe. When hitting with an open face, the ball has a wider contact area, resulting in more spin. 

_{Different types of 'Grinds'}

These wedges are available in different Grinds with the Leading Edge being slightly different in shape and therefore behaving differently when in contact with the ground. With most wedges on our site, we supply the easiest to use Grind - the Versatile Grind. The higher lofts (56°, 58° and 60°) are fitted with the Versatile Grind and full-face grooves. The lower lofts of 48° and higher can also be provided with other grinds, only here the traditional grooves are applied.

The Arccos App generates data on your performance and progress to improve your handicap. It also contains maps of some 40,000 golf courses worldwide, so you will know your way around virtually everyone. Very convenient!
