With this left-handd Wilson ProStaff series of golf clubs, this manufacturer is aiming at the segment of starting and slightly advanced golfers who are looking for excellent golf equipment within a limited budget. The fairway woods from this series of clubs, available since 2019, look better than a lot of unbranded rubbish on sale in this segment. A-brand Wilson ensures decent quality and specifications with these SGi clubs, which is why the brand has been the market leader for years.

_{The technique}

The left handed Wilson ProStaff SGi men's fairway woods have a somewhat flat design, making the low weight in the sole give more lift to the ball. All the necessary features to play these clubs fairly easily and quickly are on board. Beginning golfers need a club head with a large sweet spot, a low center of gravity as this provides the necessary forgiveness. This eliminates the need to hit the ball precisely and cleanly for a good result, which is nice.

It is clearly visible that the level of finishing in this economical segment has become a bit neater again, compared to Wilson's previous ProStaff series. Without comparing 'apples with pears', this Wilson 'wooden' looks neat and the graphite shaft that is fitted in this club performs more than fine in combination. All in all, an affordable A-brand golf club for players with handicaps from around 18 to 54.

This left hand Wilson ProStaff SGi fairway wood is available in 3 (15° loft) and 5 (21° loft) and standard equipped with the Wilson ProStaff graphite shaft and standard Wilson men's grip. Clubfitting is limited to adjusting the grips (at extra cost).
