General
For season 2023, Mizuno has introduced the JPX-923 series of which this JPX-923 Hot Metal Pro is positioned specifically for mid and high handicap golfers. Besides the 'normal Hot Metal', this Hot Metal Pro is a bit more compact, features a bit narrower topline and a bit less heavy sole. From this, you can draw the conclusion that with this version, they have sacrificed some (but not too much) forgiveness in exchange for more feel and control. The ball flight is slightly lower as a result, which also provides some gains in terms of length.
Mizuno is regarded as a top-class manufacturer with maximum levels of finish when it comes to their iron sets. As a result, the pool of Mizuno fans is growing very steadily ...
The technique
In these JPX-923 Hot Metal and Hot Metal Pro irons, Mizuno introduces the V-Chassis, a stable base with a focus on soft and comfortable ball contact. So-called Sound Ribs and the V-Chassic cavity are designed with Harmonic Impact Technology, creating more feel and more controlled ball contact. In addition, the improved striking surface, which features the New Core Tech Face, maximises explosiveness.
The Hot Metal philosophy stands for more distance and forgiveness, also with these JPX-923 Hot Metal Pro irons. The tremendous stability thereby brings less annoying vibrations when the ball is not hit cleanly without losing feedback. With the HM Pro, you can see that the clubs have a mid-high ball flight and the low centre of gravity, together with the large sweet spot, make these irons very fine irons for a wide group of golfers. Target group: golfers with Handicap 10 to 24.
Standard version
In the standard version these JPX 923 Hot Metal Pro irons with steel shafts are equipped with beautiful KBS S-Taper Lite Chrome 95 Steel Shaft and nice Lamkin Hybrid +2 Men's grips but deviations from the standard version are of course always possible.
