Like so many golf sets in this segment, we are talking about clubs with the necessary built-in 'technical assistance' to maximise forgiveness. As a result, it is no longer necessary to hit the ball exactly cleanly on the club surface in order to hit far and straight. The club heads of the irons in these Wilson ProStaff SGI sets are 'oversized'... a bit larger than standard. Also the sweetspot (ideal tangent point) on the clubblade is quite big and together with the low centre of gravity and the lowest possible weight in the clubhead, the forgiveness is maximum and therefore the ball is quick and easy to get in the air.

With these Wilson ProStaff SGI men's irons, a regular flex ProStaff Steel Shaft is factory-fitted with standard Wilson grips. Clubfitting on this series is limited to adjusting the grips (at extra cost).
